Overview
Sendinblue (Brevo) is a marketing automation platform that offers email marketing, SMS marketing, chat, CRM and automation features to help businesses engage with their audience effectively. Integrated with Zeotap CDP, it enables you to create Lists (segments) and activate them on Sendinblue (Brevo). For example, as a marketer, you can leverage Zeotap CDP integration with Sendinblue (Brevo) to create a list of customers signing up for the early bird program. This enables you to inform them about the upcoming offering in the coming months, ensuring they stay engaged and updated on the latest developments.Prerequisites
Ensure that you understand the concepts in Sendinblue (Brevo) and take care of the prerequisites before starting this integration.
- In Sendinblue (Brevo), Folders refer to the Destinations that store the Lists (segments).
- Lists refer to segments or cohorts of customers that is created within Zeotap CDP’s Audiences module and then pushed into Folders on the Sendinblue (Brevo) platform.
- Contacts refer to information about an individual person. In this case, these are email addresses.
- Ensure that you have an active account on Sendinblue (Brevo) before starting this integration.

Components of Sendinblue (Brevo)
Ensure that you have details about the below components of Sendinblue (Brevo) before creating a Destination.API Key
API Key refers to the key associated with the Sendinblue (Brevo) account to which Zeotap sends data. You can find it in the Sendinblue (Brevo) console under Home → SMTP & API → API Keys. Note that the user data permissions need to be enabled for the API Key to work. If your existing API Key does not have these permissions, then you can create a new key by performing the following steps:A window appears where you have to enter a name for the API Key that you wish to generate. Once entered, click Generate.

Create a Destination for Sendinblue (Brevo)
Perform the following steps to create a Destination for Sendinblue (Brevo):Click Sendinblue (Brevo). A screen appears displaying details about the particular destination towards the left. On the right-hand side of the screen find a list of fields that are required for the integration to be established. Enter the required details as mentioned in the following steps:a. Enter a name for the Destination.b. Enter the API Key. For more information about how to get this key, refer here.c. Enter the Folder Name that you want Zeotap to access for sending data. Note that segment/cohort of customers are stored in a folder structure in Brevo.d. Review all the values entered above and then click Next to proceed.

In the new screen that appears, choose the appropriate action and mapping as explained below. Under Choose your Action, you can either choose Send identifiers to Sendinblue or Send attributes to Sendinblue as the action for activating your audience/segments on Audiences.a. If you choose Send identifiers to Sendinblue as your action, then you can send raw email addresses to Sendinblue (Brevo).
b. If you choose Send attributes to Sendinblue as your action, then you can send raw email addresses and any custom attributes to Sendinblue (Brevo). Note that before pushing audience/segment with custom attributes, ensure that you add the required custom attributes on the Sendinblue platform, which you can then map under the Map the Fields as shown in the image below. Note:Ensure that you take care of the following points while working with the Actions and Mapping screen for Sendinblue (Brevo):
- In Sendinblue, Text-type attributes are used to store simple textual values. Ensure that a Text-type attribute under the Destination Field is mapped only against text under the Catalogue Field. For example, you can map gender under Catalogue Field against a text-type attribute under Destination Field.
- Zeotap CDP currently does not support Date-type attributes under Destination Field.
- In Sendinblue, Number-type attributes are used to store number values written in decimals. Ensure that a Number-type attribute under the Destination Field is mapped only against number under the Catalogue Field. For example, you can map phone-number under Catalogue Field against a text-type attribute under Destination Field.
- In Sendinblue, you can add categories under Category Configuration. Ensure that the categories added under the Category-type attribute is exactly replicated under Destination Field for successful mapping.
- In Sendinblue, Boolean-type attribute are used to store boolean type attribute refers to an attribute that can have one of two possible values: Yes or No. Ensure that the catalogue attribute under Catalogue Field is corresponding to an yes or no value, when mapped against an attribute under Destination field. For example, you can map personal-account under Catalogue Field against a Boolean-type attribute under Destination Field.
- A Zeotap catalog attribute can be mapped only once. This means a catalog attribute under Catalogue Field once mapped, cannot be mapped again, against an attribute under Destination field.
Link an Audience to the Sendinblue (Brevo) Destination

For example, an Audience or a segment can be a specific group of customers who are over 18 years of age and have performed an
addToCart event within the last 30 days.View Segments on the Sendinblue (Brevo) Platform
To view the Folders pushed by Zeotap to the Sendinblue (Brevo) Platform, log into the Sendinblue (Brevo) console and perform the following steps:Navigate to Contacts > Load a list or a segment > Lists. This contains the folders in which you can find the contacts.
Under Lists, you can either search for the List (segment) that you wish to view the details for in the search bar or if you know the the location of the List, then find it by navigating through the folder structure.
